She attended the California Institute of the Arts earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Scene Design. In her time at the institute, she curated art galleries, designed for theatre and film, and produced countless community events.

In her years in the professional world thus far, she has had the pleasure of working in the Art Dept. for artists such as Lady Gaga, Keke Palmer, SZA, Doechii, Kelly Rowland, Tiesto and companies as big as Vogue and Mattel. Raised by a community of artists and activists, community advocacy has always been at the forefront of her design methodology. Jo uses world-building as a means to visualize a more equitable future.
